Stone Cracks at the Edge of Stone

Stone Cracks at the Edge of Stone

I decided.

I feel like the rock before Hannibal in the Alps.

I received an offer concerning something I had wanted for a long time. I had to decide – not topple a gate, not fell a tree, but decide. I wanted it, therefore yes. However, if I blurt it out at once, I decided recklessly. I slept on it. I changed my mind. Why should I not accept it, if I wanted it? Really, why not?! Rational thinking dictates that I weigh it. What is positive and what is negative in the thing to be decided. I want it. Is that not enough? I read my horoscope, according to which I should not pass up a long-desired opportunity. It was not only I; fate wanted it this way. So I tossed a coin. If heads, I accept; if tails, I refuse. Tails. One toss is no toss; three is the Hungarian truth. Tails. Tails. Two more sets of three are needed, so the data will not be distorted. Tails. Heads. Tails. Tails. Heads. Heads. I told you! Fate wanted it, because only the last toss counts anyway.

After careful consideration, I decided to accept the offer.
